THERMALLINGThe finer arts of Paragliding
The crux of cross-country flying is "finding the next thermal ?” It’s the key for every XC pilot to develop his or her own system for understanding thermals, then continuously refine it. Only in this way will the pilot actually learn something with each “success” or “failure.”The goal is to have a simple, clear system that you can refine each season to produce better results.
These courses are designed to teach new pilots and coastal pilots some of those more advanced techniques and skills which accelerate your progress after your course.
That includes thermalling, confidently flying in unstable air, advanced site assessment and basics of cross country flying, assessing XC weather and sites, techniques, safety issues and performance flying. Where do you go? And when? What do you look for? .
